This is not swagger, this is identity swindling.

The advent of social networks like Facebook, twitter, MySpace etc. have further expose  an average African’s inferiority complex in his/her subconscious regardless of his/her level of education and exposure. The latest names spelling swagger is one of results of this exposure. There’s this inner feeling that it has to be western. This is evil under the sun. The swagger revolution brought into names spelling is evil and misleading, it is uncalled for, it is inferior.

Why won’t a ‘Charles’ spell his name as ‘Shals’?  He won’t because he’s proud of who he is and what he is and where he is.

I find it very disturbing to see a beautiful name like ‘Oluwaseun’  which means ‘Thank God’ been written as ‘Holuwershehun’… the fact is that the later has no meaning, its longer and its senseless. I am also convinced that God has no record for such name. Sometimes, you find it very hard to read a certain name on facebook.  Why do we want to be oyinbo by force?

Imagine the following abnormalities:
Akintunde turned to harkeentunedey
Adekunle turned to Hardaykunlay,
Okechukwu turned to Ohkeyshoecul
Olalekan turned to Horlarleykon
Amina turned to Harmeener
Toluwani turned to Tohluwahnee

Please desist and repent from this act. This is not swagger, this is identity swindling. This is image ‘de-repping’. This is abnormal. This is irritating. This is not us. Please leave a comment on the names that have been abused so the abusers can correct them.
